1. Technical University of Lodz, as a leading unit,
is responsible for all the investment, financial and exploitation activities referring to
the network.
On behalf of the Technical University of Lodz, MAN LODMAN services the
Metropolitan Area Network Division, which is a branch in the structure of the
Computer Centre.
2. Rector of the Technical University of Lodz appoints the Coordinator of MAN LODMAN.
The Coordinator represents the Technical University od Lodz as the network operator.
His duties and responsibilities include:
- maintaining daily contact with the representatives of SRC, SACN and other
operators and institutions cooperating with the MAN LODMAN as well as with the
representatives of the LODMAN Users Board,
- taking care of the technical nad financial matters connected
with the building and exploitation of MAN LODMAN,
- clearing of the financial means received from SRC,
- organisation and supervision of network building,
- securing maintenance and development of MAN LODMAN,
- drawing up and submitting for Rector’s acceptation:
- schedules of investment activities,
- network development and maintenance plans,
- reports referring to the realization of investment plans,
- financial reports of MAN LODMAN activities.
- drawing up the regulations and instructions referring to the functioning of
the network and submitting them for the LODMAN Users Board acceptation,
- settling the price list and principles of financial settlements with
LODMAN Users Board subscribers and submitting them for LODMAN Users Board acceptation,
- settling any arguments between the MAN LODMAN users,
- · settling the appellations and complaints placed on the Metropolitan Area
Network Division manager’s decisions.
3. LODMAN Users Board is a consultative and supervisory organ for the leading unit.
The range and mode of operation for LODMAN Users Board is defined by separate regulations
in the appendix to the Agreement of the parties involved as regards the building and
exploitation of MAN LODMAN.
